Tasmanian Tiger/Wolf

Here's an interesting creature, the thylacine also known as the tasmanian tiger/wolf. They were endangered species and now are extincted. Not very many people know about these guys. The last thylacine to survive passed away in September 7th 1936. This was at the Hobart Zoo in Australia. They got the name Tasmanian wolf for their wolf like appearences. The name Tasmanian Tiger came from the strips that appeared on their back. They belong to the Tasmanian family. One of their family members are the Tasmanian Devils. They have a thick tail much like a kangaroo, which is like the marsupials. The females have a pouch similar to their cousin, tasmanian devil. They are the biggest carnivore marsupials that were alive. They hunt in packs like the wolves. The famales usually only had two or three offsprings during the winter time, which is the breeding season. Their bark is like the husky.
